Growth in Telecommuting

The number of people who work from home during business hours at least one day per month increased to 24.1 million in 2004, which is 17.3% of all U.S. workers. The share of workers who telecommute instead of reporting to an actual work location grew from 7.4% in 1994 to 17.3% in 2004.
