Model Year 2006 Fuel Economy and Fuel Cost
The graph below shows the range of fuel economy by size class for model year (MY) 2006 light vehicles. It also shows an estimate of average annual fuel cost in parentheses. Some size classes, like two-seater and midsize cars, include vehicles with a wide range of fuel economies; passenger vans and cargo vans, however, have a small range of fuel economies offered in MY 2006.
Note: Annual fuel costs assume 15,000 miles of travel each year and fuel costs of $2.20/gallon for regular unleaded gasoline and $2.40/gallon for premium.
