U.S. Light Vehicle Manufacturing Locations, 2004

Though car and light truck manufacturing continues to be concentrated around Detroit, Michigan, many manufacturers have production facilities throughout the eastern half of the United States. The map below shows the location of light vehicle assembly plants by manufacturer. NUMMI, a joint venture between General Motors and Toyota, is the only manufacturer of light vehicles in the western United States.
