Regional Differences on Best Fuel to Replace Gasoline
A February 2007 public opinion survey asked:
Consider a future date when gasoline is no longer available. Which of the following do you think would be the best fuel for use in personal vehicles: electricity, ethanol, or hydrogen?
Respondents in the Northeast and the West chose electricity more often than any other fuel, while respondents in the South and the North Central region chose ethanol more often than any other fuel.
