New Vehicle Leasing, 1997-2007
In 2007 the number of new vehicles that were leased was just under 3 million. Though the number of new vehicle leases is expected to decline in 2008, they have been increasing from 2004 to 2007. The changes in leasing are independent of the total new vehicle sales volume.
