Historical U.S. Hybrid Vehicle Sales

Hybrid vehicles have been sold in the U.S. since the Honda Insight went on the market in 1999. The Toyota Prius continues to be the best selling hybrid, but in 2006 there were nine other hybrid vehicles offered. Total hybrid sales were about 250,000 in 2006.
