Fact #542: October 27, 2008 Transit Trips Increase in 2008
A comparison of transit trips from the second quarter of 2007 to the second quarter of 2008 shows a 5.2% increase. Light rail was the mode with the greatest increase (12.3%); of that increase, 1.3% was due to increased capacity. All transit modes showed at least a 4% gain in the number of passenger trips.
