Fact #619: April 19, 2010 Transportation Sector Revenue by Industry
According the latest Economic Census (2002), the trucking industry is the largest contributor of revenue in the transportation sector, contributing more than one-quarter of the sectors revenue. The air industry contributes just under one-quarter, as does other transportation and support activities, which include sightseeing, couriers and messengers, towing services, port and airport operations, and other support activities.
