Summary Report — Discussion Meeting on Plug-In Hybrid Electric Vehicles
Hybrid vehicles that can recharge from wall-plug energy offer high fuel economy and the potential to reduce petroleum use. With those considerations in mind, the U.S. Department of Energy's Vehicle Technologies Office recently convened a two-day meeting of more than 120 experts representing the automotive and electric utility industries, national laboratories, and academia to discuss technical and economic issues related to "plug-in" hybrid electric vehicles, or PHEVs.
