DOE's EERE Web Site Gets a Streamlined Look
March 17, 2010
The EERE Web site, provided by DOE's Office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy (EERE), has recently been redesigned. The site is reorganized with more visible information about the various EERE programs and products, as well as information about energy efficiency and renewable energy in general. As part of the makeover, there are now simplified links to a wide variety of information, including all the major energy efficiency and renewable energy topics; the main resources available from EERE, such as maps, data, calculators, software, and publications; and select information for consumers, kids, media, states, tribes, and federal energy managers. The new site also provides easier access to social media tools and products, including two blogs from EERE. See the EERE Web site.
A key aspect of the revised EERE Web site is the new "Energy Empowers" feature, highlighting the stories of people who are finding innovative ways to help save energy and use renewable energy sources. Want to find out where all that Recovery Act funding is going? Energy Empowers will let you know. Energy Empowers will continue to share ways that people are discovering to make the United States more energy efficient, while helping rebuild the nation's economy with new green jobs. See the Energy Empowers home page.
