DOE Announces 12 Cost-Shared Vehicle Efficiency Projects

The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) has announced the selection of 12 projects, with a total value of $175 million, to increase the energy efficiency of passenger and commercial vehicles while maintaining low emissions. The projects selected will focus on development of advanced combustion engine and waste heat recovery technologies. Costs will be shared 50–50 between the DOE and the industrial partners.
