Four Wind Farm Agreements Approved by Idaho Public Utilities Commission

March 1, 2007

The total combined capacity of the four farms is 138 megawatts (MW). However, actual generation may be lower because, in some cases, Idaho Power will not be obligated to pay for an average monthly power output greater than 10 MW.

The PUC approved the following agreements between February 20 and February 27:

Idaho Power Company is a regulated utility owned by IDACORP. The company is involved in the generation, purchase, transmission, distribution, and sale of electric energy in a 24,000-square-mile area in southern Idaho and eastern Oregon with an estimated population of 911,000.
