Megan McCluer Named New WHTP Program Manager

The U.S. Department of Energy’s Office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy (EERE) recently named Megan McCluer as the new Program Manager of the Wind and Hydropower Technologies Program. McCluer’s appointment was effective September 2, 2008.
McCluer comes to EERE from Clipper Windpower, where she was the Senior Engineering Program Manager for the Technology Department. Prior to Clipper, McCluer served as the project manager for the U.S. Air Force’s CV-22 Flight Test Program. McCluer has extensive experience in rotorcraft acoustics and aerodynamics, including wind tunnel and computational research for NASA. Her education includes an Associate of Science in Civil Engineering from Franklin Institute of Boston, a Bachelor of Science in Aerospace Engineering from San Jose State University, and a Master of Science in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Maryland, College Park.
McCluer takes over from JoAnn Milliken, who had been serving as the Acting Program Manager for the Wind and Hydropower Technologies Program.
