Kansas State University Videos Explore Wind Energy
January 29, 2013
A Kansas State University journalism student recently produced two videos related to wind energy. "Students Learn that Speed Doesn't Always Equal Power" documents how associate professor Ruth Douglas Miller's students in the Wind and Solar Systems Design class learn how wind turbines produce energy. "The Power Behind Wind Farms" features Douglas Miller and Kansas State University associate professor Warren White, who explain how fast wind turbine blades can spin and what's inside of those turbines. The videos are featured in the Winter 2013 edition of KSU's Perspectives magazine, which also features renewable energy articles.
