Environmental Impact Statements
The National Environmental Policy Act requires federal agencies to integrate environmental values into their decision making processes by considering the environmental impacts of their proposed actions and reasonable alternatives to those actions. To meet this requirement, federal agencies prepare a detailed statement known as an Environmental Impact Statement (EIS). Below are Environmental Impact Statements prepared by federal agencies and organizations on the siting of wind energy projects.
This environmental analysis of the proposed offshore Cape Wind project was prepared to comply with the Massachusetts Environmental Policy Act and the Cape Cod Commission environmental review process. The document describes the Cape Wind Energy Project, analyzes potential cumulative impacts, and responds to public comments and information requests.
