RAMP-UP Provides Weatherization Training for Vets in Allegheny County, Pennsylvania

A recent article in the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reported that with 135,000 military veterans in Allegheny County alone – the second largest number of veterans for any county in the country - there is a large pool of individuals seeking to re-invent their careers.
Using Weatherization Assistance Program Recovery Act funds, Executive Dan Onorato of Allegheny County announced a new program “Resources Available for Military Personnel to Upgrade Proficiencies - RAMP UP” to train veterans with skills to provide quality energy efficiency services for eligible county residents.
