Carmanah Solar Flashing Beacons Improve School Zone Safety in Time for Back to School

Fifty-two flashing solar LED beacons will provide safety to district school zones for the City of Bethany, Oklahoma. The City will acquire these solar safety beacons using funds from an Energy Efficiency and Conservation Recovery Act Block Grant resulting in both increased signage visibility for drivers and a projected vehicle speed reduction in school zones of 5 to 7 miles per hour.
