Utility Bills Decrease while Jobs Increase in Wisconsin

With Recovery Act funds provided through the Department of Energy's Weatherization Assistance Program, Darrel and Judith Burkhardt have had critical energy efficiency retrofits installed in their home. According to LaCrosse Tribune, with these new energy measures the Burkhardts noticed a decrease in their utility costs. Additionally, the Couleecap, the local agency that completed the energy retrofits in the Burkhardts’ home, has increased their weatherization workforce as a result of the Recovery funds.
