    Asbestos Removal Paves the Way to Energy Efficiency

    The Downey Theatre is in need of a new HVAC system, but critical hazardous material abatement must happen first.  The City of Downey California will use $28,730 in funds from a Recovery Act Energy Efficiency and Conservation Block Grant to remove asbestos from the Theatre over a 25-day period beginning in late July.
