New DOE Campaign Encourages Consumers to "Stay Warm, Save Money"
October 8, 2008
October is Energy Awareness Month, and DOE has launched a new Web site
and educational campaign, titled "Stay Warm, Save Money," in order to
help consumers be more energy efficient and save on their energy costs
this winter. The campaign focuses on providing simple, cost-effective,
energy-saving solutions for consumers and small businesses, and
although the campaign is currently focusing on energy-saving tips for
the winter months, the Web site will be expanded later in the year to
include tips for summer. The "Stay Warm, Save Money" Web site lists
no-cost and low-cost energy-savings tips, financial assistance links,
long-term solutions for saving energy, and a blog that covers
energy-saving topics. Visitors to the site can also download an energy
checklist and other materials to help them save money this winter. See
the DOE press release; the Stay Warm, Save Money Web site; and the Energy Savers blog.
