Montana Recognized for Promoting Energy Efficiency

Montana has reached a major milestone in promoting energy efficiency and helping families save money across the state. U.S. Energy Secretary Steven Chu joined Governor Brian Schweitzer in a call this morning to announce Montana's milestone achievement in weatherization.Since the Recovery Act started, 6,800 homes in Montana have been weatherized; that's about five percent of the state. And Montana had already made major strides in helping weatherize 2,800 homes before the Recovery Act, giving homeowners a $500-$1000 dollar tax credit to do so.
