Award Date: 2009
Financial Information: $54,911,000
Financial Details: awarded
Summary:

Massachusetts will use Recovery Act SEP funding to advance energy efficiency across the state, especially in the building environment, and to accelerate and expand clean energy projects at public buildings to help achieve the state's goal of reducing state government greenhouse gas emissions 25% by Fiscal Year 2012. This includes energy efficiency and other clean-energy improvements at state facilities.

The state also will fund initiatives that expand the installed capacity of solar photovoltaic power generation in Massachusetts. These initiatives would increase the use of solar power across the public and private sectors, including the creation of a new round of the existing Commonwealth Solar Rebate Program to fund solar-power deployment in the commercial sector.
