Arkansas will use its Recovery Act SEP funding to reduce energy consumption and advance energy independence by implementing a number of significant energy efficiency and renewable energy programs. These programs will also help create and support jobs within the state. Arkansas will use a significant amount of its funding on loan programs to encourage investment in energy efficiency technologies in a number of critical sectors within the state. Arkansas will also implement several other energy efficiency projects designed to facilitate and incentivize energy savings for its constituents.
