Webinar: Using Integrated Resource Planning to Encourage Investment in Cost-Effective Energy Efficiency Measures

Who should attend: State utility regulators and staff, utilities, and other stakeholders interested in learning more about integrated resource planning (IRP) and how it can serve as an effective tool for promoting energy efficiency and other demand-side resources.

This webinar will highlight SEE Action's Using Integrated Resource Planning to Encourage Investment in Cost-Effective Energy Efficiency Measures report, which explains the purpose and use of IRP, recommendations for successful IRP, alternatives to IRP in states with competitive retail markets, examples of successful IRP efforts, and how IRP interacts with other energy efficiency policies and programs.

Speakers will include:

  • John Shenot (Regulatory Assistance Project), the report's lead author, who will provide a summary of the report and its recommendations, as well as additional resources
  • Rebecca Craft, Michael Harrington, and Ronny Sandoval (Consolidated Edison) who will provide a real-world example of best practices in distribution utility planning in a competitive retail market.
