WIP – One-On-One Assistance

The U.S. Department of Energy's (DOE's) Technical Assistance Program (TAP) provides targeted, one-on-one assistance to help state, local, and tribal governments with energy programs. In-depth assistance through TAP is available for these priority areas:

• Strategic energy planning
• Energy policy and program design and implementation
• Financing solutions
• Energy data management and evaluation
• Energy efficiency and renewable energy technologies

Requests for one-on-one assistance are reviewed on an on-going basis and evaluated to determine the level of effort TAP can provide based on the following criteria:

• Near-term and long-term impacts
• Replicability for other jurisdictions
• Demonstrated need for federal technical assistance due to lack of other available resources

How to Apply for One-on-One Assistance

There are two ways for state, local, and tribal governments to apply for assistance.

• Complete your application online with the Technical Assistance Center (preferred).

• Fill out an application and email it to TechnicalAssistanceProgram@ee.doe.gov.
