DOE has published in the Federal Register a notice of final rule regarding test procedures for external power supplies 80 FR 51424. (August 25, 2015).
The external power supply test procedures rulemaking docket number EERE–2014–BT–TP–0043 contains all notices, public comments, public meeting transcripts, and supporting documents. The current energy conservation standards for external power supplies are mandated by Part A, the ‘‘Energy Conservation Program for Consumer Products Other Than Automobiles’’ of Title III of the Energy Policy and Conservation Act (EPCA), as amended. (42 U.S.C. 6291–6309) These appliances are treated as covered products under Part A. (42 U.S.C. 6295(u))
