DOE is initiating a rulemaking to consider amended energy conservation standards for certain commercial air-conditioning and heating equipment. The purpose of this rulemaking is to determine whether national standards more stringent than the current standards for these products would result in significant additional conservation of energy and would be technologically feasible and economically justified
