Standards

DOE has published in the Federal Register final determination concerning energy conservation standards for high intensity discharge lamps. 80 FR 76355 (December 9, 2015). DOE determined that standards for HID lamps are either not technologically feasible, would not result in significant energy savings, or are not economically justified.
Therefore, DOE has not established energy conservation standards for HID lamps.

The HID energy conservation standard rulemaking docket EERE-2010-BT-STD-0043 contains all notices, public comments, public meeting transcripts, and supporting documents pertaining to this rulemaking.
