Recovery Act - Facilities and Equipment Upgrade - Lab Call #09-002

Summary:

The Recovery Act seeks to increase investment in the nation's energy sector and to move America towards a cleaner and more sustainable energy future. In order to address the challenges, the Department of Energy is seeking to expand and leverage the National Laboratories capabilities for developing innovative energy technologies in three areas of strategic national interest: carbon fiber manufacturing and processing technologies, advanced battery fabrication and prototyping, and the development of integrated building systems. This lab call solicits facilities and equipment proposals from the National Laboratories that will develop the necessary infrastructure to enable key scientific and engineering breakthroughs in these areas of strategic interest to the U.S. economy.
