Transition to SEP
Improving energy performance relies heavily on implementing energy projects to meet your objectives and targets. These projects are defined within an action plan, discussed in Step 3.2 of Level 2, which addresses best practices for action plan development. Additional requirements related to action plans are specified in ANSI/MSE 50021.Step 3.2 Execute the action plan(s)
How to do it
The following action will help you execute your action plan(s):
3.2.3 Determine actual energy savings
Determine the actual energy savings from the actions taken as part of the execution of the action plan(s). This task relates to and builds upon task 3.2.2 and task 4.1.7 in Level 2 ISO 50001 Energy Management of the eGuide.
Requirements on executing your action plan(s) are found in this SEP resource:
ANSI/MSE 50021
- Section 4.4.6 requires that you estimate the anticipated energy savings and determine the actual savings achieved for each of your action plans. The anticipated and actual savings are determined through a process that is suitable to your organization but should be consistent with generally accepted engineering practice. Evaluation of actual savings should be based on the action plan as it was actually implemented recognizing that changes can occur during action plan implementation.
SEP M&V Protocol
There are no additional requirements related to the SEP M&V Protocol.
SEP Scorecard Credits for the Mature Pathway
There are no Scorecard Credits for this step.
